I build the hardware that makes advanced semiconductor manufacturing possible — and I make it more reliable, more manufacturable, and easier to maintain. Over 8+ years, I've designed plasma deposition equipment (ALD, PE-ALD, PECVD), led root-cause analysis on production lines, and developed cleanroom contamination-control instrumentation. At Applied Materials, I reduced component complexity by 20–30% and cut manufacturing downtime by 15% — work that earned an IDF Innovation Award, a Best Performance Award, and two USPTO patent filings (inventor of record). I work fluently across two layers most engineers keep separate: the physical tool (vacuum and gas-delivery systems, plasma uniformity, GD&T, DFMA in Siemens NX/Teamcenter) and the physics behind it (numerical modeling of plasma chemistry and reactive transport — the subject of my defended MS thesis at RIT). As founder of SentinelAir — an NSF I-Corps and RIT IDP Accelerator–selected venture — I designed the first Facility Control Tower Dashboard for cleanrooms, conducted customer-discovery interviews, ISO 14644 cleanrooms, and built an ALCOA+-compliant data pipeline aligned with ISO 21501-4 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11. That work made me as fluent in workspace and support equipment safety, including preventive maintenance and early detection, as I am in tool design. What I'm looking for: a semiconductor process, equipment, or cleanroom instrumentation role (remote-first or hybrid near Rochester, NY) where deep hardware skills, modeling intuition, and standards fluency matter. Core strengths • Plasma reactor design — ALD / PE-ALD / PECVD • Vacuum & gas-delivery systems, plasma uniformity validation • Cleanroom metrology — particle counting, SEM, profilometry, X-ray, ISO 21501-4 • Siemens NX, Teamcenter, ANSYS (thermal/structural/CFD), GD&T (ASME Y14.5), DFMA • Root-cause analysis, DFM, ECN/SOP/BOM, VOC→Specs→QFD lifecycle • Standards: SEMI, ISO 14644, ISO 21501-4, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, AS9100, USP 797 📍 Rochester, NY · Open to Remote (US) & Hybrid · Authorized to work in the US (F-1 OPT, STEM-OPT eligible) 📧 nl1646@rit.edu
